Residential Homes

Iwade Residential Home

Our property near Sittingbourne is a 3 bedroomed bungalow which is situated in the village of Iwade. We have renovated the bungalow which has been extended to a high specification. The property has undergone a refurbishment programme which includes a new kitchen and walk in wet room. Underfloor heating excludes the need for radiators ensuring a safer environment.  Skylights in the hallway and bathroom has brought more natural light into the bungalow.

Our service meets the needs of individuals that have Autism, Mental Illness and behaviour that can challenge.

One of the bungalows was commissioned for a single person service.  Family had full involvement in this project. Previously this young man had limited access to his personal belongings which resulted in high levels of challenging behaviour. Several wall spaces now provides a library of his DVD’s and videos.

Each bungalow has been renovated to meet the needs of people that may challenge. Robust specification have been changed throughout this service.

We have recently completed a sensory room and a large utility room on the premises and are soon to engage on a redesign to the garden giving it a sensory feel for people with autism whilst taking into account their ages and the need to engage them in activity.
